THE SEAT OF GLORY
Kolade possessed a special seat, passed down through generations of his family. It was believed to symbolize the family's glory, awaiting the destined individual to unlock its potential. Pa Akinsakin, Kolade's father, had been informed by the oracle that Kolade was the chosen one, but the procedure to activate the glory remained a secret.
The seat, wrapped in white cloth, was carefully stored in Kolade's room, with strict instructions prohibiting anyone from touching it. However, Kolade's life took a turn for the worse. He struggled financially, known in town for his laziness and dependence on friends. Desperate, he borrowed ₦50,000 from Lanre, promising to repay within three months. But when the deadline arrived, Kolade's inability to pay led to Lanre's anger. Lanre sent two burly men to collect the debt, and when Kolade couldn't pay, they took his son, Kunle, as ransom.
Kolade and his wife were devastated, with no one to turn to for help. In desperation, Kolade sought financial assistance from a friend, Tobi. Tobi suggested consulting a spiritual leader, sensing a deeper issue behind Kolade's financial woes. However, Kolade ignored this advice and instead met Lakunle, a farmer, who recommended visiting an old woman on the outskirts of town, known for loaning money.
Kolade met the old woman, who demanded the special seat as collateral. Despite initial surprise that she knew about the seat, Kolade agreed, eager for the loan. The deal was struck: Kolade would borrow ₦100,000, using ₦50,000 to repay Lanre and the balance to start a small business. The seat would remain with the old woman until the loan was repaid within two months. Kolade handed over the seat, receiving the money with a warning that failure to repay would mean losing the seat forever.
With the loan, Kolade retrieved his son from Ladi's house and set up a small retail business for his wife. However, the business struggled, and the family consumed most of the stock, leaving little for profit. When the repayment deadline arrived, Komade was unable to pay, and he abandoned the seat with the old woman. His struggles intensified.

In desperation, Kolade sought help from Tobi, who introduced him to a man of God, Pastor Sam. The pastor revealed the significance of the seat and the need for divine intervention to retrieve it. He emphasized that the seat's glory could only be activated through fasting and prayer.
The pastor rallied the church community to contribute funds to help Kolade retrieve the seat. Finally, Kolade and his wife, Mama Kunle, visited the old woman with the repayment. However, an argument ensued, and the old woman transformed Mama Kunle into a barking dog. Kolade's attempt to intervene was met with resistance, and he was forced to flee.
Upon returning with Pastor Sam, the pastor restored Mama Kunle to normalcy and rebuked Kolade for his recklessness. The pastor then confronted the old woman, who resisted, but ultimately succumbed to the power of prayer. The old woman, subdued, ordered Kolade to retrieve the seat.
With the seat returned, Kolade followed the pastor's guidance, praying and fasting to unlock its potential. Years later, Kolade's life transformed. He became a successful entrepreneur, owning a thriving factory and a bustling mall for his wife. His children excelled academically, and his community benefited from his prosperity. The people learned a valuable lesson: with faith and perseverance, anyone can rise from obscurity to greatness.
