Sayo, along with her younger siblings Kayode and Tolani, had been searching for admission into a tertiary institution for about four years. Despite the discouragement from family members, friends, and neighbors, Sayo's father, Mr. Olawale, remained steadfast in his support for her education. Many believed that schooling wasn't for female children, suggesting that Sayo should learn a skill instead. However, Mr. Olawale had made a promise to Sayo that he would ensure she graduated from university before getting married.

While Sayo's focus was on education, her immediate younger half-brother Kayode was the favored child for education, causing tension between their mothers. Meanwhile, Tolani, their cousin, had her education sponsored by Mr. Olawale, which was also a point of contention.

When Sayo, Kayode, and Tolani finally gained admission into the university, Sayo and Tolani excelled, becoming top students in their departments. However, Sayo's academic performance suddenly took a downturn, and she struggled to understand her course materials. Her friendship with Bimpe, a notorious student, raised concerns among her peers and lecturers. Despite this, Sayo believed and informed Tolani that her problems were not due to Bimpe's influence but rather a spiritual attack orchestrated by Dotun, a cult member who had been harassing her. Bimpe, having learned about Dotun's intentions, befriended Sayo to protect her.

With Tolani's concern for Sayo's well-being and academic struggles, she summoned all possible assistance to ensure that a resolution to Sayo's challenges is provided.

Kayode's friend Kunle, a devout believer, had been trying to convince Sayo to visit Pastor Solomon, but Bimpe's influence kept her away. Meanwhile, Kayode and Kunle consulted Pastor Solomon, who believed Sayo's problems were spiritual and required his intervention. Despite Kayode's efforts to convince Sayo, she refused, and Bimpe took her to another prophet instead.

The prophet's vision accused Mama Kayode of being behind Sayo's problems, leading to a bitter confrontation between Sayo and Mama Kayode. The community turned against Mama Kayode, and she became an outcast. However, Pastor Solomon maintained that Mama Kayode was innocent and organized a three-day fasting and prayer session to seek God's intervention.

Weeks later, news broke out about Bimpe's arrest and involvement in a robbery attempt. Kayode, Kunle, and Tolani saw this as a victory and brought Pastor Solomon to visit Sayo. Pastor Solomon prayed for Sayo and revealed that Mama Kayode was indeed innocent, but he didn't disclose the actual culprit. He instructed Sayo to fast for three days and assigned Kayode a task to buy a cloth material for Mama Tolani.

Unbeknownst to Tolani, the cloth was meant to expose the truth. When she wore it, she began to act strangely and confessed to being a witch, revealing that she had sabotaged Sayo's academic progress. After her confession, Mama Tolani died, and the community buried her immediately.

In the aftermath, Tolani returned to school, though her demeanor had changed. Sayo regained her academic prowess and graduated with the highest CGPA in law. Tolani and Kayode also graduated, and years later, Sayo pursued further studies abroad, sponsored by her fiancé. Kayode became a successful lecturer and pastor, while Tolani secured a job in a marketing company.

The end.
